- Los Angeles Times, 1979-2005, exited as senior editor for technology and charter member of the News Operations department. Managed the integration of CCI in the Editorial Library 2000-2003 and before that helped develop the Mediasphere system for the editorial art department. I wish to express my sincerest thanks to Tribune for its generous tuition reimbursement and stock options, which financed my MLIS degree, UCLA '03. I am now one very happy academic archivist, professor and consultant.

slisweb.sjsu.edu/people/faculty/mccargarv/mccargarv.php - 1. I have had a consultancy in digital preservation and digital archives management since 2005. This lists some of my clients and projects (including news organizations), as well as research projects I've been involved in on behalf of a couple of library consortia.
2. My faculty page at San José State University's School of Library and Information Science, where I lecture in analog and digital preservation. I also teach at UCLA. - Los Angeles, CA
