- I'm a thirty-one year veteran of the Chicago Tribune newspaper with a few different careers during that period. I had spent most of my time in the graphic arts, both as an artist and photographer. I worked in the advertising art department, creating ads for in-paper clients, transitioned to the computer systems client support and was a part of the advertising /operations Macintosh feasibility study to incorporate these new computers into graphics production systems. I also trained graphic artists at the New York Daily News with the Macintosh systems. I returned to the graphic realm in marketing research as the first cartographic designer at the Chicago Tribune, introducing computer generated mapping to the department. I then transitioned to the marketing department in both the 'creative division' and 'multimedia production department' as an image coordinator/photographer, supplying imagery for employee and shareholder publications as well as marketing projects. I completed my tenure at the Chicagoland Publishing Company as a staff photographer for the Chicago Tribune special sections.
